Education Qualification For KVS Recruitment 2024 

The KVS teacher education eligibility criteria: Candidates must meet post-wise specific qualifications and read the detailed notification before applying the online application. The PRT, TGT, and PGT eligibility follows:

PGT Eligibility: 

• Post Graduation degree in a relevant subject from a recognized university.
• Candidates must be obtained 50% marks.
• B.ED or equivalent degree from a recognized institute or university.
• Proficiency in English and Hindi Language.

TGT Eligibility: 

• Applicant must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized institute.
• Minimum 50 marks in a specific subject.
• B.Ed qualification from a recognized university.
• CTET Paper II passed or appeared, by CBSC.
• Proficiency in Hindi and English language.

PRT Qualification:

Essential:

1. Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with minimum 50% marks and 4 years Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed.).

or

Senior Secondary (or its equivalent) with must obtain 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Elementary Education (by whatever name known).

or

Senior Secondary (or equivalent) with at least 50% marks and 2 years Diploma in Education (Special Education).

or

Bachelor’s degree with minimum 50% marks and B.ED.

Note: Applicants holding a Bachelor of Education degree from an NCTE-approved school are eligible for a teaching position in grades 1 to 5. They are required to complete a six-month Bridge Course in Elementary Education, which must be approved by the NCTE, within the two years following their appointment as a Primary Teacher.

2. Qualified in the Central Teacher Eligibility Test held by the government of India.

3. Proficiency in teaching using Hindi and English Language.

Desirable: Knowledge of working on a computer.

Age Limit for KVS Teaching Vacancy

• TGT: Maximum age is 35 years.
• PGT: The upper age is 40 years.
• Principal: 35 years minimum and 50 years maximum.
• Vice Principal: 35 years to 45 years.
• Librarian: 35 years older age.
• Primary Teacher (Music): 30 years.
